Information about Ivan Plusch

 

Ivan Plusch was born in 1981 in Leningrad. He graduated from the St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, the Department of Monumental Painting, in 2009. He is one of the founders and leaders of the group “The Unconquered” (2007), has regularly participated in Biennales, took part in the Parallel Programme of “Manifesta 10” (St. Petersburg, 2014), and has been a participant and organiser of numerous contemporary art projects. In 2013 –  he was a laureate of the “Innovation Award”, NCCA, Moscow; and of the Kuryokhin Prize, St. Petersburg; in 2014 – he was a nominee for the Strabag Award, Vienna. The artist lives and works in Budapest.
